She has been actively involved in developing BBBEE strategies for all the organisations for which she has worked. She was instrumental in the development of an Equity Equivalent programme and set up an Enterprise Development Academy for her last employer and personally coached small business owners who were enrolled in the programme.

 

Her HR role extended to overseeing the full range of Corporate Services, including Engineering, Health and Safety and various other ancillary functions.

 

She studied Social Sciences, Labour Law, Business Management and holds an MBA. The latter two she achieved cum laude and attained the Top Student award for both. She wrote a dissertation on “World Class Manufacturing and Employee Empowerment”.

 

She completed an Executive Coaching programme with a reputable coaching academy, is an accredited SAQA assessor and moderator as well as a City & Guilds assessor for Investors in People. She is qualified to administer various psychometric assessments and is certificated to present a vast range of training programmes.

Serita Esselaar has 30-plus years’ experience in all disciplines of Human Resource Management. The last 11 years in corporate were at an executive level at a large USA based multinational, accountable for the HR function for sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to being headhunted for this position she managed HR for various divisions of the then Premier Foods Group. She also set up and ran the HR function at a large engineering company and held HR positions at soft drink bottling and shipbuilding companies.  She was industry representative at employer bodies such as SEIFSA, Chamber of Milling, American Chamber of Commerce, SETASA, SGBs and held the position of Principal Officer of various retirement funds. Experienced in all aspects of HRM, her passion lies in Leadership Development, Coaching, Business Engineering and Transformation. She has also developed a range of unique initiatives that support Employee Engagement and Employment Branding, which she believes are the heart of any company’s sustainable human capital strategy.

Liesl Allen

Her role extended to Marketing and event coordination.  She is passionate about imparting knowledge and brand development through Marketing and Communications. She has trained many young students who have gone on to establish successful careers as brand managers and account managers in the Marketing and Advertising industries.

 

Liesl studied a BA degree followed by an honours in Education.  Later, she went on to further her personal education by  completing a  Diploma in Integrated Marketing Communications, specialising in Client Services at AAA School of Advertising.

 

Liesl is currently a freelance lecturer and training facilitator. Liesl is passionate about education and has turned her passion into her career by inspiring, challenging and nurturing the minds of her learners.   She is also a trained nutritionists and enforces a wholesome lifestyle by maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise through gym, running and cycling .

Liesl Allen, BA, HDipEd, has 20-plus years’ experience in teaching, lecturing and training. Liesl started her career as a high school teacher before she took the ambitious step into the world of lecturing at tertiary education institutions and training within the Marketing Communication industry. She has  lectured for various institutions, including the AAA School of Advertising, Bond University, Global school of Business and Damelin College. Liesl has facilitated the full range of IMM subjects focused on the Marketing and Marketing Communication industry and also trains young professionals employed in the Marketing, Advertising, Media and Sales industries.

As a lecturer, Liesl’s portfolio developed to a level where she ultimately held the position of course director at the AAA School of Advertising, where she was responsible for academic course development as well as lecturing and business training.

Mokgethi Selebogo

Mokgethi has excelled in many different roles during his 20 year corporate career. His journey began as a Graduate Trainee with Unilever South Africa in 1993 where he worked as an assistant accounts manager. He has served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Prowalco (Pty) Ltd - the leading maintenance company in the Oil industry with a turnover of R350m and operating in 10 African countries. He has been  an independent business development consultant for New Africa Petroleum (NAP), served as a sales director at FedEx Southern Africa, and worked as an Accounts & Card Processing Manager for the leading Card Manufacturer – Oberthur Card Systems, where he managed complex relationships with the big 4 banks in South Africa. 

​

As a testament to his character he is a dedicated Marathon Runner and has completed a total of 10 Comrades Marathons (Green number) and 10 Two-Oceans Marathons (Blue number) to date and serves as an EXCO member for his local running club. As a family man with a sound moral grounding who is passionate about Youth and Community Development, Mokgethi was a treasurer for his local church for over 10 years and still serves on the finance committee. He continues to inspire and encourage the youth who are the future ‘torch bearers’ of this continent.

Leveraging his many years of experience in the corporate world, he is using his skills and expertise to propel the country and the continent in forward during this economic transformation phase. He advocates the development of small business through skills sharing and mentoring the youth.
